Dear Balmoral families,

It is almost time for students to return to school! We hope all of our students and families had a restful and enjoyable summer holiday. This is a quick email to touch base and share some important information as we prepare to return to school. Please note that the school office is still closed and will re-open on August 27.

Uniforms

Please purchase your school uniforms and be ready for the first day of school. All students must wear the NAVY uniform pieces (not green). Uniforms can be purchased from McCarthys Uniforms .

All students MUST have outdoor shoes (weather appropriate) and BLACK indoor shoes (to be kept in lockers at school). Black running shoes are preferred so that students can wear them for physical education activities as well.

First Day Information

The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 2. Buses will be running this day - please check your MyCBE account for bus stop locations and timings, and ensure your child is there on time. Also please ensure they know their BUS LETTER so that they know which bus to board after school as well. We will be running regular school hours this day (7:55am - 2:30pm). Students will be meeting teachers at the locations below starting at 7:45am and be grouped into their homerooms:

Grade 5 - Back field (west side)

Grade 6 - Next to Church

Grade 7 - Near front main doors

Grade 8 - Basketball courts

Grade 9 - Back field (east side)

Homerooms

Teachers will be returning to school on August 27. All families should be receiving a welcome email from your child's homeroom teacher by end of day August 28. Please note that class lists are made with careful thought given to student learning, social dynamics, and balancing academic needs, and class changes cannot be accommodated at this time.

We look forward to welcoming most of you back for another great year, and welcoming our NEW Grade 5 and lottery families to Balmoral as well!
