Good afternoon Balmoral families

We have finished our year-end assessments and are now looking forward to a fun last week of school! For Grades 6 and 9 students, Preliminary Reports with PAT scores will be sent home next week by paper.

Please note that the last day of school this year is Thursday, June 26 – this is an EARLY DISMISSAL day and we will be following Friday timings. School will finish at 11:30am and buses will be here to take students home.

The school will be closed over the summer and the office will re-open on August 29.

Transportation Registration Deadline - June 22

Families are now able to register for yellow school bus service for the 2025-26 school year.

Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how to create one.)

Families must register by Sunday, June 22, 2025
for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year

We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 22 deadline will be delayed. Confirmed routes will be posted in your MyCBE account in August. For those who register after the June 22 deadline, it may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.

Transportation can be cancelled with no financial impact by submitting the cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2025.

Mabel’s Labels – School Council announcement

As this school year comes to an end, the 2025-2026 school year is just around the corner! Our school council has partnered with Mabel’s Labels once again for all your back to school labelling needs! From water bottles to lunch boxes to clothing items, they do it all. Our school council will make a small profit from of each purchase for upcoming events in the school year.

Visit https://mabelslabels.ca/

Select “Support a fundraiser” and use Balmoral School as your option. Thank you for your support!

** We strongly recommend labelling ALL student uniform items – this makes it much easier to return lost items to students throughout the year.

Lost and Found

All lost and found items are organized on the table outside of the main office, and will remain here until the end of the school year. Please ask your children to check the tables for any missing items. All remaining items will be donated or thrown away at the end of the June. Parents are welcome to come to school to take a look at the table as well.

Library Books are now OVERDUE

It is time for all students to return any school library books they have borrowed. It is possible that some students have borrowed a book without checking it out as well. We ask that all parents please look for any school library books at home and send them to school immediately.

If your child has lost their library book, please contact Mrs. Lee at lmlee@cbe.ab.ca

Thank you for your support with returning our precious library books!

School Council Vacancies for Next Year

We will have a few open positions on School Council next year – this is a great opportunity to get involved in school activities, talk more with administration, and give your feedback! Open positions are currently Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary.

Please consider volunteering for one of these positions next year – we value our School Council very much and appreciate their hard work on behalf of the school. If you have any questions about school council, please email balmoral@cbe.ab.ca and we will forward your question to the appropriate person.

School Fees are Due

Please check your MyCBE accounts for any outstanding school fees. It is important to pay these when the activity occurs so that the school is able to continue to offer these opportunities to students. If you need support with waivers or a payment plan, please contact the school office.

The Pickle Jar

The pickle jar is CLOSED for this school year. We thank all students and families for your support of our school cafeteria, and we look forward to serving you again next year! If you have any suggestions for future menu items, please email balmoral@cbe.ab.ca

Please ensure your child brings a litter-free lunch to school each day next week!
