Thank you to all parents who have signed up to volunteer at our casino! We do still require a few positions to be filled – please consider helping out. This is our biggest fundraiser and we need YOU to make it happen!

URGENT – Casino Volunteers Needed

We still need volunteers for the upcoming casino on Nov 21/22! The following shifts must be filled right away:

• Nov 21 (7:00pm-3:30am) – 1 cashier
• Nov 22 (7:00pm-3:30am) – 1 banker, 1 chip runner

Balmoral Annual Holiday Fundraiser

Balmoral School Council has joined together with Purdy’s Chocolate for a sweet fundraiser!

Our goal is to reach a minimum of $5000 in sales, in order to receive 25% of the total amount sold for the school. We have successfully achieved this goal for the past 2 years so let’s keep it up! Please email balmoralfundraising@gmail.com with any questions. Thank you for your support!

Grade 9 Camp Evergreen Reminder

Students going to camp need to be at school (with their luggage) by 7:30am on Monday, November 20. Busses plan to depart at 8:00 a.m. Buses will be parked on 2nd street, near the west parking lot.

Parents should be ready to pick up students by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 23.  As teachers will be going directly into parent conferences, there will be limited time to supervise students - so a prompt pick up would be appreciated.

Student not going to camp are expected to attend school as usual Monday through Thursday.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

The schedule for these conferences will be as follows:

• In-person conferences will be held on Thursday, November 23 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm 
• Online conferences will be held on Friday, November  from 8:00am - 2:00pm

You can access the booking tool through your MyCBE account and going into your MyCBE Apps. Detailed directions on how to access the conference booking system can be found here.

If you are booking to attend in person conferences on November 23rd, please plan to be at the school 5 minutes before your time to attend your meetings.

If you book online meetings, please use the link that was emailed to you to enter the conference to meet with the teacher at your designated time.

If you encounter technical issues please call the school office and we will do our best to work through any difficulties you may encounter.

McCarthy Uniform Sale

McCarthy Uniforms will be hosting a sale beginning Monday November 20 until December 20 with discounts up to 25% off on select school uniform products!

Discounts will vary across items, check your E-Store, or your dedicated Store location for more details. Please see the poster under Resources for more details.

Healthy Hunger Fun Lunches

Most of our fun lunch dates are available for ordering on the Healthy Hunger website:

Please note that you must register your child each year on the website (ensure you know your child’s homeroom and teacher), and then you can place orders. The next fun lunch dates are November 29 (Grades 5/6) and November 30 (Grades 7/8/9).

The ordering deadline is always 5 days before the fun lunch date, so order early and don’t miss out!

Next School Council and Parent Society Meeting

Our next Balmoral School Council and Parent Society Meeting will be held on Thursday, December 14 at 6:30pm. This will be an ONLINE meeting using Microsoft Teams – a link will be sent a few days before the meeting.

We encourage all parents to join us for these meetings, as important matters are discussed that affect all students at Balmoral.
