School Council Texas Donut Fundraiser

Thank you for supporting the school by purchasing Texas Donuts (these are very large donuts!). Orders will be distributed on Wednesday, April 30 at school. If you have submitted an order online but have not yet submitted payment to the school, please do so on Monday, April 28.

School Council / Parent Society Meeting

May 1, 6:30-8:00pm

This meeting will take place in-person in the school’s Learning Commons. All Balmoral parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Grade 8 teachers will be joining our meeting and sharing learning program updates.  

IMPORTANT: 2024-25 Yearbooks now on sale!

This year’s school yearbook is now on sale through the Lifetouch website. These yearbooks are put together by a dedicated group of teachers and students, who capture various memories throughout the school year. This is a great memory book for all Balmoral students in Grades 5-9!

Please visit the website below and use the code to purchase the yearbook – the cost is $22. Yearbooks will be delivered to Balmoral School and distributed to students during the last week of June.

McCarthy Uniforms Purchasing Window now OPEN

Our uniform partner, McCarthy Uniforms, has the Spring Purchasing Window OPEN beginning Wednesday March 12th, 2025, and running until Wednesday April 30th, 2025. This will be the final Purchasing Window for the 2024-25 school year.

The summer purchasing window will be Jul 2 – Oct 31.

School Council Fundraising

Thank you all for your support during this school year in fundraising efforts for the betterment of our school.  We rely on your generosity and support and ask for it again for the upcoming events we have planned for our students!

If you have any bottles laying around that you can spare, Sunridge Bottle Depot and Balmoral School Council have united to create a bottle drive! Their new program offers in home pick service - no need for drop off. Use the link attached - in additional information use “Balmoral School” as a code so they know where funds should be allocated. OurSCHOOL Student Survey Administration May 1 – May 22

Balmoral will be participating in an online school perception survey for students called the OurSCHOOL Student Survey. This anonymous survey is completely voluntary for all CBE students.  Please find the details of the survey implementation below.  

CBE’s Education Plan prioritizes student voice and well-being in our decision-making processes.  Responses from this survey are used at the system and school level to recognize and improve what is necessary for students to feel safe, welcome, and cared for when at school.

Grades 4-12 students provide feedback on:

  • sense of belonging
  • positive relationships
  • anxiety
  • feeling safe at school
  • life satisfaction
  • general health
  • orientation to well-being
  • goal-oriented
  • self-regulation
  • cultural awareness of others

Additionally, Grades 6-12 students provide feedback on:

  • depression
  • self-esteem
  • cultural awareness of self

Demographic questions are also asked on this survey for norming purposes. These are:

Grades 4-12 general

  • age, gender, Indigenous status, immigrant status, home language.

Grades 6-12 specific

  • grade repeater, reasons for changing schools, disability or medical conditions that limits participation in school activities or learning.
